Patricia Roy Sims

Patricia Sims, age 73, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on October 11, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Patricia was born on August 29, 1945 in Sandy Hook, Tennessee to the late James and Maxine Roy. Patricia was a CCU nurse for 35 years at Maury Regional Medical Center; she loved her job and loved taking care of people. She touched many lives while working at Maury Regional and gave her whole heart to her career as a nurse. She would do without in order to take care of others. She was a classy, private person, she could be described by her daughters as timeless, selfless, caring and always worried about others. Patricia loved her family, she was a wonderful daughter, mother and grandmother, she loved spending time at home with her family and enjoyed being their caretaker.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Greta (Mark) Waldrop and Bethany (Greg) Shively; son, Stacey (Amy) Hinson; grandchildren, Mary-Beth McDonald, Miranda Lane, Alyssa Hooper, Taylor Waldrop, Patrick (Micayla) Nichols, Kayla Nichols and Elijah Shively and great grandchildren, Arianna McDonald, Maxine McDonald, James Nichols and Ryder Nichols.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mark Waldrop, Tanner McDonald, Patrick Nichols and Paul Kersey.
