Patricia “Patti” Marie Ley, age 58, passed away June 6, 2015 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee.
Patti was born in Detroit, Michigan, September 23, 1956 to the late Russell and Dorothy King. Patti grew up to marry her childhood sweet heart and love of her life Bill Ley, with whom she spent a wonderful 40 years. Patti and Bill could often be found at either Parkway or Galaxy Lanes where she regularly participated in league bowling. Patti enjoyed going camping and sitting by bon fires with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching Patriots and Wolverines football. Patti also enjoyed reading and owned and operated The Book Nook in Columbia for several years. More than a great bowler or bookworm, Patti was an awesome mother, very dedicated to her family and friends. She brought her joy of life and good humor to everything she did. She was always loving and went out of her way to help others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Patti is survived by her husband: Bill Ley of Spring Hill, TN; children: Shannon (Chris) Crutcher of Columbia, TN and Douglas (Shana) Ley of Chapel Hill, TN; granddaughter: Alyssa Crutcher of Columbia, TN; grandsons: Ashton Crutcher of Columbia, TN, Brendan and Barrett Ley, of Chapel Hill, TN; brothers: Dan (Joann) King of Sterling Heights, MI and Charles (Debbie) King of Charlotte, MI; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 also at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Dan McCulley officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
