Patricia Gail Thompson Hutchens was born March 12, 1946 in Waynesboro, TN, to the late Elton Frank Thompson and Rachel Risner Bellant. She was the wife of 21 years of Rick Hutchens of Santa Fe.
Pat was retired as an Op Tech with General Motors Corporation after 30 years of service. She was an artist and enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts. Pat and Rick enjoyed doing many things together, some of which were hunting, golfing and riding motorcycles. Pat was not going to be outdone and learned to do various things with her husband. She had a group of her dear friends whom she fondly referred to as "The Patrick Girls."
Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter: Kimmie Jim Harrison of Columbia; three grandsons: Zach Harrison and Alex Harrison of Columbia and Cameron Lounds of Murfreesboro; step-daughter: Amber and children: Ryley and Adian of Whitehouse, TN; her best friend: Denise Brewer of MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Fonda Lounds; a sister: Margaret Curry; a brother: Larry Thompson.
Pat passed away on Sunday, December 4, at her home in Santa Fe.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastor Bruce Peltier officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Pee Wee Posey, Steve Johnson, Marty Dreher, Ted Jennings, Jackie Jernigan and Daniel Brady.
