Pamela “Pam” E. Trice, age 76, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at her home.
Pam was born on July 19, 1938 in Flat Rock, Alabama to the late Ollie Hicks and Sarah Russell Hicks. Pam was married to James E. Trice. She collected antiques and was known for her thrift store shopping. Pam was a devoted gardener and was well known for her yard on Hilltop Drive in Columbia. She was a great cook and was famous for her homemade gravy and biscuits. Pam loved to exercise, was an avid reader and often wrote poetry. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
The family will visit with friends on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pam is survived by her daughters Tonya (Greg) Andrews of Columbia, Tennessee and Kim (Matthew) Madden of Georgia; granddaughters Jenny Beth (Rob) Beets of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Katie Madden of Georgia; grandsons Chaney (Morgan) Turnbo of Columbia, Tennessee, Caleb Wright of Nashville, Tennessee, and Cody (Emily) Madden of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; great-grandsons Jacob Sprinkle of Columbia, Tennessee, Parker Beets of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Jasper Turnbo of Columbia, Tennessee; great-granddaughter Stella Beets of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; sisters Louise Jones, Donna Lahiere, Evelyn Wooten, and June Como; and brothers Alton Hicks and Lloyd Hicks.
Pam was preceded in death by her husband James E. Trice; parents Ollie and Sarah Hicks; daughter Janet Marie Trice; grandson Chris Sprinkle; granddaughter Casey Mobley-Sprinkle; and sisters Ollie May Brown, Sue Fancher, and Margie Shavers.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Sonjay Mohan and staff of the Ingram Cancer Clinic at Vanderbilt; The nursing staff and all members of the valet service of the Cancer Infusion Clinic at Vanderbilt; the staff and caretakers of Hospice Compass; and Patti Grooms Hollinsworth and Brian and Kelly Lahiere for their care and compassion.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Sprinkle, Chaney Turnbo, Caleb Wright, Cody Madden, Matthew Madden, Greg Andrews, Rob Beets, and Parker Beets.
