Pamela “Pam” Odom Poston, 63, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on February 22, 2014 at NHC of Columbia after suffering from a debilitating neurological condition. She was surrounded by her family, as she entered into eternal rest.
Pam was born to her late parents, Emmitt Eugene Odom and Katie Marie “Chapman” Odom. She loved to sew, quilt, embroidery and cook. She also loved social networking after learning to operate a computer in her later years. She raised and loved her grandchildren. She sacrificed to make sure her grandchildren had the best in life. She was very pleased when Megan graduated from nursing school and Cody graduated from industrial maintenance. Megan was a very dedicated granddaughter who visited her grandmother on a daily basis and made sure she was receiving the best care possible.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on February 24, 2014 at Main Street Church of Christ. Brother David Kersey will be officiating. A visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on February 24, 2014 until start of service. Burial of remains will be at a later date during a private family graveside service. Immediately following the memorial service, the family will meet in the Main Street Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
Pam was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. She worked as a sewing machine operator for many years in sewing factories, which include: Weather Tamer, Winning Moves, and Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing.
Pam is survived by one daughter, Michelle (Mike) Nance; two grandchildren, Megan (Shawn) Wright and Cody John Randall Howell; brothers, Jeff (Peggy) Odom, Ray (Cathy) Odom; sisters, Janie (Red) Workman, Kathy (James) Brown, Betty (Harold) Reed, Sharon (Danny) Estes, Jo (Carl) Workman, Gay (Tom) McManamon, and Shelia (Jack) Patterson; step grandchildren, Daniel Nance and Aaron Nance.
Pam was preceded into death by her sisters, Carolyn (Thomas) Massey and Nancy (W.H.) Workman; and brothers, Bobby Gene Odom and Neal Lewis Odom.
