Orin Lewis Short

Orin Lewis Short was born on July 27, 1953, at Columbia, Tennessee. He was a resident of Oscar McClain Rd in the Mt. Joy Community. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1971. He was a farmer, also worked 24 years for Maury County & Columbia tobacco warehouses. He worked construction work when he was young. He retired from PSC Fabrication. He was married to his loving wife Mary Bryson Short. Orin worked hard, and was a strong believer in faith, family, and hard work. He was a member of the Macedonia Church of Christ at Mt. Joy. He was the son of the late Charlie Short and Mary Lou Lewis Short.

Survived by his wife Mary, one daughter Amanda (Johnny) Cole. He was preceded in death by his son William Ferrell Short. He has 2 grandson’s Anthony Adams & Charlie Adams. Great Granddaughter Rose Adams and great grandson Jake Green.

Pallbearers are Danny Cummings, Glenn Overstreet, James Yoder, Anthony Howell, Tommy McCormick, Randy Howell, Jimmy Haywood, and Wendell Holder.

Honorary Pallbearers are Friends at Mt. Joy. Cliff Sublett, Men of Macedonia Church of Christ, Brian Perry, and Burial in McClain Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services for Orin will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. John Baker and Bro. Mark King officiating. Interment will follow at McClain Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
