Orell Bibb Uptain

Mrs. Orell Bibb Uptain, 80, a resident of Sunnyside Lane in Columbia, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at NHC-Hillview .
Funeral services for Mrs. Uptain will be conducted, Thursday July 15, 2004, at 4:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral in Columbia with the Reverend Bob Creasy and Reverend Phillip Lawson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Bertie Lindsey Bibb. She was the widow of John Wesley Uptain. Mrs. Uptain was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was a lover of ceramics and dolls.
She is survived by her children, Ruby Melvin Hindman of Lynnville, TN, Charles Wesley Sara Uptain of Williamsport, TN, Ray Janice Uptain and Beal Betty Uptain both of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Margaret Billy Cordell Cope and Lena Eugene Goodwin both of Columbia, TN; a brother, Edward Nancy Bibb of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Dina Michael Daniels of Lynnville, TN, Anna John Denison of Knoxville, TN, Jane Sadiq Al-Amery of Williamsport, TN, Monty Uptain and Clint Uptain both of Columbia, TN, Kim Uptain of Florida; six great-grandchildren, Dara, Fara, Chad, Jordan, Emmy and Wesley; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Mark Uptain; a daughter, Paula Uptain Chadwell; a grandson, Mel Hindman, Jr.; one brother, Bill Bibb; one sister, Frances Ballard.
Pallbearers will be Monty Uptain, Chad Brown, Jordan Hindman, Tim Cope, Randy Goodwin, John Chadwell, Billy Ray King, Charles Clark , James Clark, and Willard Temes.
