Mrs. Ophelia Kelley Kersh, age 83, a resident of Morton, MS and former resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday at Guardian Angel Hospice in Raleigh, MS.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kersh will be conducted 10:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Santa Fe.
The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Mary Jane McCandless Kelley and the wife of the late Henry Edgar Kersh. She worked at Weathertamer as a seamstress, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and attended Morton Church of Christ.
Mrs. Kersh is survived by her grandsons: Patrick Cindy Kelley and Joe Kelley, both of Morton, MS; great grandchildren: Tyler Kelley and Abby Layne Kelley, both of Morton, MS; a sister: Estelle Steward of Columbia, TN; step-daughter: Patricia Kersh Kelley of Morton, MS. She was preceded in death by a son and several brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
