Opal Lee Crumley

August 20, 1924 — July 17, 2004

Mrs. Opal Lee Crumley, 79, a resident of Camelot Dr. in Columbia, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Life Care Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crumley will be conducted,
Monday July 19, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Kirk Brothers and Elmer Lusk officiating. Entombment will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dora Attkisson Crumley and the widow of Jonas Crumley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Graymere Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ritchey and Kay David Moody, both of Columbia; a son, Donald Nancy Crumley of Culleoka; two sisters, Myrtle Chapman and Jean Davis, both of Columbia; two brothers, Charles Crumley and V.J. Evelyn Crumley, both of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Justin Huey, Rachel Huey, Wesley Crumley, all of Columbia, Julie Chad Dawson of Culleoka, Rodney Crumley of Nashville, William Michael Teresa Wiley of Highland, CA and Lisa Fast of Riverside, CA; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wayne Crumley.

Pallbearers will be Larry Jones, Doug McCandless, Ronnie Brown, David Moody, Bill Jones, Justin Huey, Mike Andrews and Eric McCandless. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr, Gaylon Harris, Dr. John Worthman, Dr. C. Houston Jameson III, Dr. Mark Messenger, Ralph Ussery, nurses and staff of the oncology group and the nurses and staff of Life Care Center.
