Mr. Odie Kenneth Riley, age 78, a resident of Old Lewisburg Highway, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Riley will be conducted Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the East Side Church of Christ with Brother Elmer Lusk and Brother Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Army.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia and Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until service time at the church.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Tomie and Mary Anderson Riley and the widower of Jimmie Lou Collins Riley. He was a mechanic for Dupont and Spontex, a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a military affiliate radio service operator MARS and a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
He is survived by his children: Barbara Gail Bill Schultz of Pinson, TN, Jeffery Grant Ann Riley of Columbia, David Thomas Riley of Culleoka and Kimberly Kaye Wilder of Columbia; sisters: Cathleen Duvall and Melba Hannah, both of Columbia; a brother: Gary Riley of Hampshire; 7 grandchildren and a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bill Carroll, Edward Hargrove, Ed Johnson, DeWayne Hickman, Donnie Davis, Donald White, Scott Barnhill and Sammy Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders and congregation of East Side Church of Christ.
