Norma "Cookie" Boshers, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the age of 57.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boshers will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, with Rev. Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in West Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 12 noon to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boshers was the loving wife of Doug Boshers for thirty-nine years. She was the attendance clerk at McDowell Elementary School. She loved to paint and attend Vanderbilt football and basketball games. Mrs. Boshers was a lifetime member of CHS band boosters. She was a member of the West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include, in addition to her husband, one daughter Robyn Boshers of Chicago, IL; three brothers Tim Lisa Potts, TerryChristine Potts, and David Potts all of Columbia: four nephews Taylor Potts, Brandon Potts, Jonathon Potts, and Garrett Potts, also of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her father James Clint Potts, her mother Melbia Jean Miller Potts, and two infant twin sons Michael and Kevin Boshers.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Potts, Johnny Andrews, Jimmy Fitzgerald, Paul Wayne, Ricky Broadway, and Ricky Fitzgerald.
Honorary pallbearers will be the teachers and staff of McDowell Elementary, Belinda Wayne, Regina Peery, Dr. Darrel Rinehart, Dr. Sam J. Kuykendall, and members of the Columbia Police Department and Columbia Fire Department.
