Norma Jean Rush

June 9, 1938 — April 22, 2008

Mrs. Norma Jean Cross Rush, age 69, a resident of Brookside Drive in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rush will be conducted Thursday at 3:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Elmer Lusk and Bro. Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 2:30 P.M. until time of services at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Walter V. and Gladys Holt Cross. She was the wife of "J. W. "Shorty" Rush of Columbia. She was retired from the State of Tennessee as a member of the Governor's Liaison Committee on Tenn Care.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons: John W. Lisa Rush, Jr., of Mt. Juliet and Randall Angela Rush of Spring Hill; two granddaughters: Olivia Rush of Mt. Juliet and Jessica Rush of Spring Hill. She was preceded in death by one brother: Jackie Cornell Cross.

Active pallbearers will be friends of the family. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wednesday Morning Ladies Bible Class of the East Side Church of Christ.
