Norma J. Goodman, age 75 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away May 17, 2012.
She was born on October 25, 1936 to the late L.A. Holtsford and the late Ruth Holtsford in Mt. Pleasant, TN. After graduating high school, Norma married the late Clem Goodman. The Goodman's spent 56 years together until his passing on January 9, 2008. Norma worked at Bailey Drugs in Mt. Pleasant before settling into her most important job, a homemaker. She was a member of The Collegeview Church of Christ.
The family invites friends to gather at the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant Saturday, May 19 from 5-8:00 P.M. Funeral services will also be conducted at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant Sunday, May 20 at 3:00 P.M. with Mike Bryan officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Prayer.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelia Gary Smalley of Jackson, TN and Lisa Jeff Harris of Mt. Pleasant, TN, her grandchildren Mindy Kent Baumgardner, Kelly Joel Gwin, John Harris, Jacob Harris and Jill Harris, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, one sister Mary Dennis Rochelle of Hampshire, two brothers Paul Louise Holtsford of Nashville and Jimmy Holtsford of Nashville. Norma is preceded in death by her husband Clem, and a brother Joe Holtsford.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Cothran, Buster Vandiver, Jim Bailey, Tommy Neal Edwards, Ron Rochelle, and Robbie Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Roy Thompson, Dr. Bain, Dr. Bart, Laney Cothran, Margaret Rea, and Linda Long.
Memorials may be made to Columbia Academy in honor of John, Jacob and Jill Harris.
