Nora L. Armstrong

Nora Lee Boshears Armstrong, at the age of 94 years old, Nora passed away January 4, 2013 at Life Care Center in Columbia, TN.

She was born July 15, 1918 in a little country community named Gibson Hollow, west of Mt. Pleasant, TN. Born to Frank and Susie Boshears, she had one brother and three sisters, Lorene Boshears, Evelyn (Carl) Cummins, Vurly (Dennis) Dagnan and Frank Boshears Jr., all preceding her in death. She also had two sisters-in-law; Ruth Church, and Meddie Boshears both preceding her in death. One sister-in-law survives her, Ina Ruth Boshears.

She married Joshua Boshears who passed away in 1942. They had two children together: Eddie Franks Boshears who has since this also passed and Annie Sue (Roy) Dickens. Later she married Adley Thomas Armstrong who she also had two children with one of them being the late Norma Annette Armstrong.

Nora also has seven grand children: Paula Odom, Douglas (Kay) Dickens, Troy (Pamela) Dickens, Michael (Kathy) Boshears, Vicky (Mark) LaRue, Sherry (Britt) Johnson, Anita (Jeff) Piskos. Seventeen great grand children. Several great- grand children as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Armstrong will be held Tuesday January 8, 2013 at Williams Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant beginning at 2 p.m. with Robert Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, January 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. also in the Williams Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Roy Dickens, Douglas Dickens, Troy Dickens, Samual Odom, Joel Odom and Michael Boshears. The family would like to say a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Life Care Center as well as Dr. Kanth.
