Nicholas Francis Briceno

Mr. Nicholas Francis Briceno, 67, a resident of Hampton Road in Columbia passed away Monday May 9, 2005 at St Thomas Hospital .

Funeral services for Mr. Briceno will be conducted Thursday May 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Kirk Brothers and Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Gallup, New Mexico native was the son of Antonio and Gertrude Gonzales Briceno. He was the husband of Jewel Bennett Briceno. Mr. Briceno retired from Saturn as a mechanical engineer and a tool and die maker. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ. Mr. Briceno was a member of the Columbia Country Cruisers , the Road Riders Association and the Shriners.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Nicholas Eugene GlendaBriceno of Columbia, TN, Michael Danita Briceno of Statesville, NC, John Richard Briceno of Shreveport, LA and Kelly DwainCarolyn Briceno of Shannon, NC; two step-sons, Tony Brown of Columbia, TN and Danny Jenny Brown of Louisville, KY; one sister, Ruth Perkins of Wasilla, Alaska; two brothers, Tony R. Nadine Briceno of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Carlos Beth Briceno of Jacksonville, Florida; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Briceno.

Pallbearers will be Joe Graves, Ken Lovett, Randy Goodwin, Bobby Bishop, Ray Vandiver and George Brazelton.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Graymere Church of Christ.
