Mrs. Sue Cothran McGee, 63, a resident of Massey Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. McGee will be conducted on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Dickey Lindsey and Rev. Ezell Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury Co. native was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Minnie Massey Cothran. She was the wife of 45 years of William Tommy McGee. She was a long time employee of Thomas Market in Mt. Pleasant. She had also worked as a weigh master for the Maury Co. Tobacco Warehouse and for Lovett?s Market. She was a member of the Ebenezer Community Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors in addition to her husband include four daughters: Teresa McGee Stewart of Mt. Pleasant, Susie Dennis Malugin of Mt. Pleasant, Sharon Rich Ostrander of Medina, and Virginia Anne Ginger McGee of Columbia; five sisters: Evelyn Ray Gibson of Columbia, Mary Mack Scott of Mt. Pleasant, Sara Dickey Lindsey of Mt. Pleasant, Viola Stanley Odom of Mt. Pleasant and Almajean J.W. Steward of Santa Fe; one brother: Richard Edith Cothran of Mt. Pleasant; one sister-in-law: Laney Cothran of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: William Allen Stewart, Jr., of Columbia, Zack Stewart of Columbia, Lauren Malugin of Mt. Pleasant, Dexter Daniels of Medina, Shelby Malugin of Mt. Pleasant, Paige Pruitt of Columbia, Baylee Ostrander of Medina, and Charlie Ostrander of Medina; great-grandchildren: Karma Stewart and Trenton Stewart, both of Columbia. She was preceded in death by one brother: Billy Ray Cothran.
Pallbearers will be Jim McGee, Ed Denson, Fletcher Lindsey, Chris Gibson, Ricky Cothran, Ray Cothran and Clint Steward. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Morris, Mike Flynt, Jeff McGee, James A. ?Bug? McGee, Jr., Jimmy Hanback, Tony Isabell and John Pierce, Doctors and staff of the Family Health Group and Family Medicine Associates in Mt. Pleasant, Doctors and Nurses of Maury Regional Hospital CCU and ER, Dr. Hunter, Dr. Chomsky and staff of St. Thomas Hospital, Dr. Bartholomew and his associates at the Skyline Medical Plaza in Nashville, employees of Fresenius Medical Care of Columbia..
