Mrs. Nellie Eugenia Johnson, age 99, resident of Fernbrook Lane in Nashville, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Summit Hospital in Nashville.
Graveside services for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted Thursday at 11:30 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Russ King, minister of Rural Hill church of Christ officiating. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
Born in Columbia on March 31, 1911, Nellie was the daughter of the late John V. Willis and Estelle Seaton Willis. Nellie was retired as a cafeteria worker in the Metro-Davidson County School System. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons: Tom Joan Johnson of Nashville and Ken Johnson of Oak Park, MI; daughters-in-law: Judy John Wilk Johnson of Sterling Heights, MI and Mary Jane Johnson of Hermitage; grandchildren: Becky Paul Huber of Nashville, Andrea Bill Johnson of MI, Jackie Johnson of MI, Cathy Bob Myers of Kennesaw, GA, Laura Honaker of Spring Hill, Carol Mike Comer of Franklin, Sandy Johnson of Warren, MI and Pat Kim Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons: James R. Johnson and Richard Wayne Johnson, four brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Pat Johnson, Mike Comer, Paul Huber, Zach Honaker and Shelby Honaker.
