Mr. Nathaniel J. Chapman, age 29, a resident of Dry Fork Road in Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Dickson Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Chapman will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Brian Wiesinger officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Nathaniel was born in Neurenburg, Germany and was the son of Charles Willie Joe Chapman of Mt. Pleasant and Kathy Jack Price of Columbia. Nathaniel was a 1997 graduate of Columbia Central High School, where he was a four year member of the football team.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Kimberly Dwight Woodard of Jackson, TN; grandmother, Ruth Williams of Columbia; 2 nieces, Autumn and Amelia Woodard of Jackson, TN; step-sisters, Christy and Misty Ferguson of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Kamiko Steven Sullivan, Linden, TN, and Kristen Brad McCrory of Lewisburg, TN; step-nieces, Abigail and Natalie Sullivan, Savana and Kayla Thompson; step-nephews, Tyler Sullivan and Lane McCrory; aunts and uncles, Larry and Brenda Chapman, Nickey and Debbie Chapman, Lisa Chapman and Bonnie Chapman of Mt. Pleasant, Nancy Hooks of Columbia, Linda and Larry Morton of Hampshire, Al and Babs Williams of Columbia, and Jeff Williams of Columbia; a special cousin, Tracy Gerald Mims, of Hampshire. Additionally, Mr. Chapman is survived by several other cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Williams and paternal grandparents, Nathan and Betty Chapman and uncles, Rickey Williams and Buddy Chapman.
Pallbearers will be Blake Davidson, Ronald Morton, Brandon Williams, Johnny Davidson, Gerald Mims, and Tim Dickey.
