Nancy Yvonne Drake, age 83, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at her home in Columbia, Tennessee.
Nancy was born August 11, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jack Shelton and late Martha “Wirth” Shelton. Nancy worked for GE for 17 years before finally retiring. She was a strong woman and she loved to build things. She would say “Tear it down and build it back.” If you knew Nancy, then you know her favorite color is without a doubt purple. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Lewisburg. Nancy was a pillar for her family. She was a loving woman and was kind to everyone. She loved her family dearly and was dearly loved in return. She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her.
Nancy is survived by her by: sons: Jerry Rowland of Columbia, TN and Jack Shelton of Texas; daughters: Gail Kuck of Columbia, and Connie (Scott) Werner of Spring Hill, TN; 11 grand children; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
