Nancy “Ann” Morphis, age 60 of Spring Hill, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Ann was born November 24, 1954 in Giles County to William and Sallie Tate. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Maury Regional Medical Center. Ann was known as a loving mother, very proud grandmother, and a great friend. She was of the Christian faith. As a hobby, Ann loved selling items on EBay.
Ann is survived by her beloved daughters, Tara (Eric) Smith and Beth (Trent) Mitchell; grandchildren, Blake Smith, Sadie Smith, and Braddock Mitchell; brother, David Tate; sister, Joyce (Frank) Pinnix; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents William and Sallie Tate and a sister, Dorothy Tate.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Tate, Travis Tate, Eric Bullington, Jay Pinnix, Blake Smith, and Stacy Burwick. Honorary pallbearers will be Maury Regional Medical Center’s Respiratory Department.
