Nadine Crowder Grose, age 86 passed away on April 9, 2017 in Houston, TX.
Nadine was born Feb 17, 1931 to the late Robert E. Crowder, Sr. and Drucilla Gordon Crowder. She grew up in the Cedar Hill Community near Hampshire and graduated valedictorian from Hampshire School. She married Herman Grose and eventually settled in Houston, TX in 1956. She studied accounting at San Jacinto College and worked as a bookkeeper for several CPA firms and various businesses through the years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
Nadine is survived by sons: Douglas and David (Nella); daughter, Michele Brooks (Larry); granddaughters: Holly Dawn Main (Aaron), Wendy Haslund (Matthew), Amanda Allen and Sarah Browning; grandsons: Killian and Keenan Brooks; great grandchildren: Angelikha, Lerlene, Christen, Isaiah and Julianna Haslund, and Kaiden Main; sister Doris Crowder Dye and brother Robert E. Crowder (Helen). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Nadine is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Grose, her parents and siblings: Opal Gordon Holden, Edna Gordon Ward, William Eugene Gordon, Joe Adley Crowder, Mary Katherine Crowder Brooks and Lille Crowder Curry.
Graveside service for Nadine will be held at 10:30, April 22, 2017 at McClain Cemetery in the Mt. Joy community in Tennessee. It will be officiated by her nephew, Vernon Brooks.
