Mrs. Myrtle Chapman Fox, age 81, a resident of East 18th Street in Columbia, passed away on Saturday, October 10, at NHC Columbia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fox will be conducted Tuesday, October 13, at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with Andrew Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born March 30, 1928 in Maury County, Myrtle was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Davis Chapman and widow of Thomas Homer Fox. She was a retired presser at Maury Manufacturing and was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her children: Jeffrey Dale Rhonda Fox of Columbia and Dixie Denise Nickie Benefield of Shepherdsville, KY; one sister: Dixie Gravette of Columbia; grandchildren: Rebecca Dave Jones of Tullahoma, Samantha Ty Howard of Hillview, KY, Lacy Jesse Wellman and Shelly Bill Carmichael of Manchester, Jeremiah Benefield of Shepherdsville, KY, Katie Morgan of Columbia and Chris Prince of Mt. Pleasant; seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons: Wayne and Jerry Lewis Bowen.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Fox, Nick Benefield, Chris Prince, James Odom, Larry Chapman and Terry Chapman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremiah Benefield, Jessie Wellman, Bill Carmichael, Dave Jones and Ty Howard.
