Myrtle Dale Hutcheson

December 21, 1910 — September 19, 2002

Mrs. Myrtle Josephine Dale Hutcheson, 91, a former resident of West 15th Street in Columbia, died Thursday, September 19, 2002 in Savannah.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hutcheson will be conducted Sunday, September 22, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with John Vaughan and Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Porter and Florence Dedman Dale. She was the widow of Robert E. Hutcheson who died in 1993. She was a retired Maury County elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and former member of the ACE Association of Childhood Education, attending three conventions while a member in Miami, Florida, Portland, Oregon and New York. She was a former member of the Columbia Home Demonstration Club and the BPW each for ten years. She was a life member of Columbia Academy and the National Education Association. She served as a volunteer at Hillview Health Care facility and the Columbia Academy Guardhouse Gift and Book Shop. She was a charter member of the Graymere Church of Christ.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jane Dale Watson Pyron of Adamsville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Dale, Owen Dale, Paul Dale, Homer Watson, Troy Dale, Greg Dale, Jim Zwieg, Richard Dale, Charlie Kelley, Bob Chaney, and Randy Walters.
