Mrs. Omie Watts Waldrop

Mrs. Omie Louise Watts Waldrop, 87, a resident of Second Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Life Care Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Waldrop will be conducted Saturday, March 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Jeff Waldrop and Randy McNeece officiating. Burial will follow in Spencer Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Lewis Franklin "Frank" Watts and the late Jessie Elizabeth "Lizzie" Attkinson and the wife of the late Robert Jackson "Jack" Waldrop. Mrs. Waldrop was a homemaker and former long time resident of Screamer Community. She was a member of Spencer Hill Church of Christ.

Mrs. Waldrop is survived by a daughter, Jean Pokorney of Columbia, TN; one son, Harold Dean Helga Waldrop of Columbus, OH; four granddaughters, Lisa Lanier of Columbia, TN; Natalie Kerry Soule of Bellvue TN; Doris Thomas Edelman of Dayton, OH; Sharon Keith Dunham of Cincinnati, OH; three grandsons, James Cindy Waldrop of Columbus, OH; Troy Katie Lanier and Charles "Tubby" Lisa Pokorney both of Summertown, TN; Fourteen Great-grandchildren, two Great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Waldrop is also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Warvie of Michigan.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, James Waldrop, Troy Lanier, Charles "Tubby" Pokorney and great-grandsons, Justin Staggs, Jessie Staggs, Christopher Waldrop and Tommy Edelman.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of Spencer Hill Church of Christ, Larry Ingram, Doris Bridges, Frank and Ann Morton, Annie Pearl McCoy, Frank and Barbara Thomas and employees and residents of Life Care Center.

Memorials may be made to the Spencer Hill Church of Christ.
