Mrs. Mildred C. Sullivan, age 83, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Mildred was born on March 14, 1930 in Williamson County, Tennessee to the late Vance Capley and the late Eva Martin Capley. On April 6, 1946, she married the love of her life, Linden E. Sullivan and they had five children together. She was retired from the production line at General Electric. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Columbia and was a wonderful Christian woman. She loved the Lord with all her heart and loved her church family. She always had a beautiful smile and a loving spirit. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren dearly. The family remembers that she always like to feed anyone who stopped by for a visit and was a great cook.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband: Linden Sullivan; children: Dianne (Tony) Young of Dalton, Georgia, Jerry L. (Tereasa) Sullivan of Columbia, Tennessee, Sherry (Danny) Marshall of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and Joe (Carole) Sullivan of Spring Hill, Tennessee; grandchildren: Terry (Shelly) Beasley, Ronnie (Clara) Reynolds, Tim Reynolds, Adam (Vicky) Marshall, Anthony (Paula) Marshall, Lee (Daphne) Sullivan, Shane Sullivan, Courtney (TJ) Thompson, Anna (Wayne) Lanier, Eric (Kayley) Mansfield, Colt Mansfield and April (Stacey) McEwen; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; sister: Yvonne (Joe) Myers; and sister-in-law: Bessie Capley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter: Susan Jackson; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Elmer (Jesse) Capley, Johnny Capley, and James (Robbie) Capley; and sisters and brothers-in-law: Mae (Leslie) Taylor and Odell (Raymond) Lancaster.
Funeral services for Mildred will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. John Rushing and Rev. Ron Gleaves officiating. Burial will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, December 17, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers and her great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
