Mildred Powers Hartzog

Mrs. Mildred Hartzog, 79, a resident of Hampshire Pike in Columbia, died Friday, July 8, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hartzog will be conducted Monday, July 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Curtis Dowdy and Olan Bassham officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Clarence Thomas and Elois Davis Powers and widow of the late Harvey R. Hartzog. She was a retired inspector with Weather Tamer and a member of Highland Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, David Larry Hartzog of Antioch, TN and Thomas Michael Angela Hartzog of Macon, GA; two granddaughters, Rachael Faith Hartzog of Byron, GA and Deborah Michelle Lanier of Macon, GA; two sisters, Elaine Johnson and Myrna Beard , both of Columbia; a brother, Dennis Powers of Decatur, AL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Powers.
Pallbearers will be Steven Beard, Larry Barnhart, Trent Odom, Shane Odom, Timmy Kennedy and Chandler Beard. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Janice Vinson, Dr. Lucy Ledbetter, Craig Edwards, Sammy Beard, Larry Paul and George Watkins.
