Mildred J Lovell

Mrs. Mildred Johnson Lovell, age 88, a resident of Adams Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, May 31st at NHC/Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lovell will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. J.D. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born June 7th, 1921 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Rena Nance Johnson and the wife of the late George W. Lovell. She had worked as an inspector on the assembly line at the Mt. Pleasant Hosiery Mill and a homemaker. Mrs. Johnson loved cooking and working in her flowers, crocheting, knitting, Levi her dog and her home. She was a member of the Allensville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Carol William Barnes of Hohenwald, June Lewis of Columbia and Billy Steve Mary Lovell of Summertown; grandchildren: Bryan Prince of Lake City, FL, Carman Prince of Mt. Pleasant, Darrell Cheryl Lewis of Nashville, Monty Kathy Lewis of Columbia, Kristy Lovell of Calf., Billy Kandra Barnes of Hohenwald, April Boshears of Nashville, Terry Terri Darnell of Summertown, Timmy Melissa Darnell of Hohenwald, Tabitha Mickey Littrell of Summertown and Paula Dennis Fulbright of Newton, NC: 26 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of NHC/Columbia.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Lewis, Cole Lewis, Terry Darnell, Timmy Darnell, Evan Lewis, Mike Irwin, Mickey Littrell and Bryan Prince. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Allensville Baptist Church.
