Mrs. Mildred Frizzell Jones, age 85, went to be with her heavenly family on Thursday, September 25, in Nashville, TN. She was a long time resident of the Rockdale, Sandy Hook and Mt. Pleasant communities in Maury Co. and currently resided in Nashville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Phillip Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James T. and Mary Wright Frizzell. She was the wife of the late Carl Sumpter Jones. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Sandy Hook Methodist Church and was previously employed by the J.C. Penney and Parks Belk stores in Columbia.
Survivors include her sons: Barry Diana Jones of Nashville and Gary Jones; grandchildren: Jennifer Jones, Jeremy and Shane Jones. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by a son: James Reggie Jones, brothers: Millard and Herbert Frizzell and sisters: Nannie Bassham, Annie Frizzell, Pauline Bryant, Mamie Vanderford, Eunice Luker and Sara Bradley.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
