Mildred Laverne Durham

Mildred Laverne “Fitzgerald” Durham, age 95, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on June 25, 2018 at her home.

Mildred was born on February 23, 1923 in Humbolt, Tennessee to the late Billy and Kate Fitzgerald. Mildred had a wonderful sense of humor and a lovely personality. Many people have fond memories and stories of Mildred. A few of her favorite things were quilting, gardening and bird watching.

Mildred is survived by her daughter: Joan Durham (Frank) Walker; grandchildren: Joy (Larry) Rhodes, Brad (Julie) Walker and Bart (Jan) Walker; great grandchildren: Walker (Sarah) Rhodes, Alaina Rhodes, Lauren Rhodes, Laramie Rhodes, Maggie Walker and Meredith Walker; sisters: Dorothy Collins, Joyce Blackwell and Retha Chandler as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Billy and Kate Fitzgerald; husband: Robert Durham; brothers: Carl and Bill Fitzgerald and sisters: Lorene Reaves, Earlene Durham, Mary Marshall, Margie Armstrong and Kathrine Fitzgerald.

The family will visit with friends on Friday, June 29, 2018 from noon until 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Frank Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Gibson County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Brad Walker, Bart Walker, Larry Rhodes, Walker Rhodes, Laramie Rhodes and Bud Reaves.
