Michael Anthony Tidwell

Michael Anthony Tidwell, age 61, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Michael was born on November 15, 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee to Crossie Lee Howell Tidwell and the late James Tidwell. Michael married Karen Bolton on August 9, 1985 and they had a daughter together, and he was a loving father. His granddaughter, Aubrey was his pride and joy. He loved his constant companion, best friend and fur-baby, Bella very much. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his brothers-in-law. He was retired from his work in transportation services.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 31 years: Karen Tidwell of Columbia; daughter: Candice Tidwell of Columbia; granddaughter: Aubrey Ballinger of Columbia; Mother: Crossie Lee Tidwell of Columbia; siblings: Diane (Mark) Jones of Lewisburg, Terry Tidwell of Hampshire and David Tidwell of Lewisburg; Linda Young of Mt. Pleasant; sisters-in-law: Paula (Jeff) West of Nashville, Tracy Bolton of Nashville, Melinda (Terry) Buie of Summertown. He was preceded in death by his father: James Tidwell; and his brother: Bill Tidwell.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mike will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. William Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from Noon until 2:00 p.m. immediately prior to the service.

Terry Buie, Jacob Buie, Jared West, Jeff West, Tray Burkeen and Jay Davidson will serve as pallbearers.
