Michael Lawrence Basnaw

Mr. Michael Lawrence Basnaw, 54, a resident of Lynnbrook Court, died Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Basnaw will be conducted Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend James Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with Military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral Home.

The, Garden City, Michigan native was the son of Virginia Miller Basnaw Hogue of Englewood, FL and the late Albert Basnaw. He was the husband of Linda Renee Kelley Basnaw of Columbia. He was an op-tech for Saturn Corporation being affiliated with G.M. for 25 years. He was a former long-time resident of Michigan. He was a member of the American Legion in Stockbridge, Michigan and an avid golfer, loved music and played the guitar and piano. He was a devoted husband, father and papa. He attended the Straightway Christian Center and served our country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Era.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a daughter, Christina Vaden Parker of Columbia, TN; a son, Michael Adam Basnaw of Columbia, TN; a step-son, Randy Fielhauer of Byron, Mi; three grandchildren, Brenton Basnaw, Christian Parker, and Hannah Basnaw all of Columbia, TN; a nephew, Robert ?Bobby? Basnaw of Englewood, FL; a niece Brenda Basnaw of Chipley, FL.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Renee Basnaw; a brother Robert ?Bob? Basnaw.

Pallbearers will be Robert Kelley, Roger Kelley, Randy Kelley, Larry Peck, Lennie Burns, Gene Weaks, and Randy Fielhauer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Smith and golfing buddies at Stoneybrook Golf Course.
