Michael Joshua Goldsmith

Michael Joshua Goldsmith, age 67, a resident of Hampshire, passed away Thursday, November 25 at his residence.
Born May 24, 1943 in the Bronx, NY, son of the late David and Sylvia Goldsmith and the husband of Judie Urban. Mr. Goldsmith raised his family with his first wife, Abby Goldsmith, in Meriden, CT and then moved to Gainesville, FL. where he worked in the family trade as a meat cutter. He later moved to Denver, CO with his second wife, Teresa Stores. There he graduated from the University of Colorado and spent many years serving the developmentally disabled adults in the courts and group homes. He married his beloved wife, Judie Urban, in 1999 with all his children present. He retired to Hampshire, where he has enjoyed the quiet country living with his devoted rescue dogs: Annie, Bella, Tobie and Berkley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Larry Goldsmith of Gainesville, FL, Deborah Mike Zolkiewicz Goldsmith of Columbia, Jenny Brad Goldsmith Knabel of Carnegie, PA and David Lorrie Goldsmith of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren: Max, Benjamin, Samuel, Joseph and Sarah; sister: Ellen Goldsmith of New Haven, CT; niece: Rebecca Keyth Goldsmith Lombard of Silver Springs, MD.
A private family remembrance was held Saturday, November 27 in Columbia.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the King's Daughters' School, 900 Trotwood Ave., Columbia, TN 38401.
