Michael John Wood, age 26, a resident of Hodge Road in Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, October 7, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Michael will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with William Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Blowing Springs Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
He was a native of Maury County, the son of Vicky and Elaine Davis Wood of Mt. Pleasant. He was an auto body repairman and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son; Anjoel Wood of Summertown; one brother: Matthew Janet Wood of Mt. Pleasant;
One niece, Zoe Wood and one nephew, Ian Wood both of Mt. Pleasant; a special cousin Sylvia Wheeler and her children, Rebecca and Jesse Carpenter all of Mt. Pleasant; aunt and uncles: Deborah Davis-Miklues, Timmy Davis, Rodney Davis, Keith Davis all of Michigan and Tommy Wood of Columbia; mother of his son, Cayce Wood of Summertown. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jane and Marion ?Chick? Davis, John Luther and Dorothy Mae Workman Wood; a cousin, Angel Davis Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Gene Wood, Kenneth Asbury, Glenn Hodge, Tony Curtis, Paul Newcomb and Jesse Morales.
