Michael Ernest Schulz, age 62, a resident of Mobley Ridge Road in the Duck River / Shady Grove Community, passed away Friday, November 12 at his residence.
Born July 21, 1948 in Flint, MI, son of the late Oliver and Joan Collins Schulz and the husband of Laura Dent Schulz. He was retired from General Motors as a tech engineer, who loved gardening and restoring antique furniture. Michael was a big movie buff and a big jokester, pulling pranks on all his friends. He was a man that would leave you laughing and his family quoted that "someone would go to bed happy just knowing and being around him".
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind a legacy with his loving children: Joshua Marshall Schulz and his wife, Virginia, of Summertown and Mellissa Michelle Schulz of Shady Grove; his precious grandchildren: Brianna, Taylor and Joshua, Jr., all of Summertown; his brothers: Steven Schulz and Donald Schulz, both of Michigan and Daniel Schulz of Colorado; his sisters: Sandra Kaye Woods of Shady Grove and Catherine Ann Anderson of Michigan.
A celebration of Michael Schulz life will be conducted 4:00 PM Saturday, November 20 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating.
The family will gather with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM to remember Michael Schulz.
