Mr. Michael "Mike" Anthony Holtsford, age 56 of Nashville, passed away January 10, 2012 at St. Thomas Medical Center.
Mike was born November 11, 1955 in Maury County to Dorothy Louisa and Paul Holtsford. Afterwards, he was raised in Mt. Pleasant where he was baptized at the Locust Street Church of Christ. For the past several years he resided in Nashville, and was retired from CSX Railroad after 35 years of dedication.
Although he was taken suddenly, he left the deepest impression on his family. Mike's family shared that he was a good hearted, kind, loving, wonderful man who would give you anything he could. A person who had plenty of friends, ones he could share many laughs with.
The family wishes to gather with friends Friday, January 13, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, and celebrate his life the following Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Noon with Gary Smalley officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his coworkers from CSX Railroad.
In addition to his parents Paul and Dorothy, he leaves behind his children to share his jokes, many laughs, and great characteristics: Ryan Holtsford of Franklin, Chaz Whittsett of Nashville; girlfriend: Lynn Spears; his siblings: Paul Holtsford, Jr. of Nashville, Tina Holtsford of Nashville; his aunt and uncles: Lina Scanlan of Nashville, Mary Dennis Rochelle of Hampshire; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins.
Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
