Michael Adams

Michael Adams, age 69, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024. Born on July 13, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, Michael was the cherished son of the late Billy T. and Johnnie Brake Adams.

Michael spent his life dedicated to hard work, family, and the simple joys of nature. For many years, he worked on the line at Smelter in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Michael always had a heart for animals, especially horses, he had a special connection with them.

Michael was deeply loved by his family and those fortunate enough to know him. His kind heart and steady presence will be greatly missed. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, hard work, and an enduring love for the natural world.

Michael is survived by his sisters: Kay Spears of Mt. Pleasant, Mary (Bobby) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, and Carolyn Hodge of Columbia; his brother, Joe (Brenda) Adams of Pulaski; his brothers-in-law, Larry Harlow of Crestview, FL, and Bobby Clayton of Lawrenceburg; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. 

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Billy T. and Johnnie Adams; his sisters, Betty Harlow, Wanda Clayton, and Lynn Ingrum; his brother, Johnny Adams; and his brother-in-law, Jim Spears. 

As we say goodbye to Michael, we celebrate the life of a man who touched so many lives and will forever be remembered with love and gratitude.

A private service will be held to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Michael’s name to a local animal shelter or horse rescue organization.
