Melvin Eugene Beard

Melvin Eugene Beard, age 57, of Franklin, Tennessee passed away on October 3, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Melvin was born on February 3, 1961 to Milton and Betty Beard in Williamson County, Tennessee. He was a free spirited, caring, joking man who enjoyed living in the moment. His spirited personality will truly be missed by his loved ones.

Melvin is survived by his mother, Betty (Miles) Johnson; son, Max (Heather) Beard; daughter, Christy Crafton; his best four legged friend, Rex; grandchildren, Hayden Beard, Mason Beard, Michael Beard and Wyatt; brother, Calvin (Vanessa) Beard; step brother, Timmy Johnson; step sister, Cynthia Hodges; half-sister, Melisa Beard Heithcock and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Beard and sister, Janice Beard (Willard) Whidby.

Melvin’s family will visit with friends on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. A service will be held immediately following in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home.
