Melissa F. York Tennant, age 34, a resident of Moore Lane in Culleoka, passed away on Saturday Jan. 30th at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Melissa will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 2nd at 10:00 A.M. at the First Family Church of Columbia with Rev. Rick Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 3:00-9:00 P.M. and Monday from 2:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Born on August 31, 1975 in Davidson County, Melissa was the daughter of Buddy and Linda Langley York of Columbia and the wife of John Tennant of Culleoka. Melissa was presently working on her Associates Degree and working for Wal-Mart in the claims department. She loved taking her youngest daughter to Awana Children Bible Group at Highland Park Baptist Church and a leader of Awana, she also loved working in the nursery at First Family Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children: Heather Tennant, William Tennant, Robert Tennant and Rebecca Tennant of Culleoka; father and mother-in law: Arthur and Patricia Tennant of Culleoka; aunt: Paula Tennant of Culleoka; cousin: John Victor Tennant of Culleoka; uncles and aunts: Wayne Langley of Columbia, Norma and Richard Marcrum of Lewisburg, Dana Reynolds of Lewisburg and Greg Marcrum; cousin of Lewisburg.
Pallbearers will be Heather Tennant, Brett Miller, John Victor Tennant, Robert Tennant, Robert Woody and Christopher Clegg. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the First Family Church of Columbia and the day shift at Wal-Mart.
Memorials may be made to The Kingdom Initiative of First Family Church, 2790 Pulaski Hwy, Columbia, TN 38401.
