Megan Elizabeth Tietgens

Megan Elizabeth Tietgens, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Born on June 29, 1990, Megan was lovingly raised by her parents, Jeff and Delia Tietgens, in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. She was a one-of-a-kind soul that could light up any room, paired with a zest for life that left an impact on everyone she met.

Megan had a profound appreciation for nature. Whenever outdoors, Megan could be found doing something that stirred her senses—whether kayaking on calm waters, searching for arrowheads, or building bonfires under the night sky, creating memories with the people she held close.

Her world revolved around her beloved daughter, Bella, and her furbaby, Tucker. Some of her happiest moments were spent driving down backroads with the windows down, music playing, surrounded by her favorite people. Megan loved with her whole heart, and those lucky enough to be in her circle knew the depth of her care and loyalty.

Megan’s memory will be cherished by her daughter, Bella Kinzie Tietgens; her parents, Jeff and Delia Tietgens; her brother, Tyler Tietgens; her grandfather, Jack Wheeler; uncles, Mark (Laurie) Tietgens and Todd (Tracy) Tietgens; her many cousins, and her beloved dog, Tucker. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Ilo Tietgens, Lettie Wheeler, and uncles, Mark Wheeler and Jeff Wheeler.

Megan will be remembered for her radiant spirit, her love for nature, and the boundless love she had for her family and friends. She leaves a legacy of kindness, warmth, and treasured memories that will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her.

The family will receive friends and visitors at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steven Morgan officiating.
