Megan Lee Sparks, age 18, a resident of Houston Drive in Columbia passed away on Sunday, August 30.
Funeral services for Megan will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Megan was born on September 3, 1990 in Maury County, the daughter of Linda Holcomb Sparks of Columbia and the late David Lee Sparks. She graduated from high school after being home schooled. Megan babysat for a 2- year-old little boy named Wilson who loved her very much. She was a very good artist and loved artwork.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her grandparents: Margaret Allie Holcomb of Columbia and Maxine Sparks of Lynnville; uncles and aunt: Donald Eloise Holcomb of Columbia, Brenda Ricky Foster of Columbia, Jerry Holcomb of Columbia and Terry Mary Jane Holcomb of Mt. Pleasant; a special aunt, Jean Sloan of Murfreesboro. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandparents: James Walter Holcomb and L. Sparks.
Pallbearers will be Donald Holcomb, C.T. Gurley, Troy Holcomb, Chris Holcomb, Daniel Holcomb, Derrick Holcomb, Jerry Holcomb and Terry Holcomb.
