Mr. Maylon Ray ?Tommy? Hayes, Jr., 51, a resident of Rockville, Maryland, died January 22, 2004 at his home.
Graveside service for Mr. Hayes will be conducted Tuesday January 27, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Wendell Robinson officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
The Florence, Alabama native was the son of Maylon Ray, Sr. and Artie Dodd Hayes of Columbia, Tennessee. He was the husband of Darcy Palmer Hayes of Rockville, Maryland. He was a Computer Consultant for Govermnent Contracts of Student Loan Programs. He lived his early childhood years in Columbia and graduate of Columbia Central High School in 1971. He was an avid jogger and a computer whiz.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a step-daughter, Heather Craig of Rockville, MD; several aunts, uncle and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hayes, Billy Heard, Ronnie Heard, Owen Burns, Michael Burns, Christopher Hayes, and Eddie Hickman.
