Maylon Ray Hayes, 85, of Columbia, passed away March 29th at his home.
Maylon was born in Florence, Alabama to the late Robert and Annie Burns Hayes. He was married to Pauline Hayes, who survives him. Maylon was a vending route salesman. He was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ. He loved taking trips to the Smokey Mountains, going to church, camping, and he also enjoyed bird watching.
A Graveside Service for Maylon Ray Hayes will be held Monday April 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Bro. Andrew Phillips officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday March 31st from 5-8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors for Maylon include: his wife, Pauline “Dodd” Hayes, and his brother: Bobby Hayes of Tuscumbia, AL., and Granddaughter: Heather Craig. Maylon was proceeded in death by: His son: Maylon Hayes, Jr. and sisters: Eva Whittet, and Daphne Hayes.
