Mrs. Maudie Carpenter Sargent, 97, of Anderson, IN, passed away March 10, 2010 at Countryside Manor.
Services for Mrs. Sargent will be Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11:30 AM at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Yandell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-6:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home
Born December 4, 1912 in Giles County, TN, daughter of the late Albert and Cora M. Carpenter and the wife of the late Ora Wesley Sargent. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Columbus Avenue Church of the Nazarene, now Southdale Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her children: Frances Marie Yandell, Martha Faye Donald Minnear, Ronald W. Sargent companion Kathy Mahoney and Dean W. Sargent companion Patty Ash; grandchildren: Scott Sargent, Michelle Green, Ronald Sargent Jr., Amy Smith, Kent Duncan, Michael Duncan, Tammy Daugherty, Jennifer Birdwell, Darin Minnear, Steven Yandell, Gregory Yandell, Kevin Yandell, Jeff Yandell, Kristi Newlin and Bradley Yandell; 29 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Nancy L. Duncan-Lund; sisters: Grace Gilliam, Annie Ruth Duncan-Dixon, Twin Sister Claudie Lane, Sara Mildred Sargent, Ella Carpenter and Dorothy Smith; brothers: George Carpenter and Mahlon Carpenter and son-in-law: Donald Yandell.
The family would like to state a heartfelt appreciation to the staff, nurses and aides at Countryside Manor Health Care for their extreme dedication and caring over the years.
