Mary Lizzie Holt Massey

Mrs. Mary Lizzie ?Holt? Massey, 95, a resident of Zion Rd. in Columbia, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Massey will be conducted Tuesay, August 5, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Joe C. and Sally Gray Holt and widow of the late Willie T. Massey. Mrs. Massey retired from Margaret?s Dine In as a cook and a member of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Thelma Marvin Wood of Columbia; two grandsons, Jimmy Carol Wood of Glendale and Billy Tena Wood of Mt. Pleasant;five great grandchildren, Jason Wood and Michelle Wood, both of Glendale, Kim Hunter and Michael Wood, both of Columbia and special great grand son Justin Morrow of Columbia; two great-great grandchildren, Brianna Wood of Columbia and Driston Collins of Glendale; three sisters, Pearl Dale, Nettie Berry and Clara Vandiver, all of Columbia. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wood, Billy Wood, Jason Wood, Michael Wood, Shane Hunter and Sammy McCandless. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Cross Bridges Baptist Church and Dr. John Simmons.
