Mary Jo Chambers Baker, age 52, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on Monday, October 1, 2013.

Mary Jo was the daughter of the late Floyd Chambers and the late Bessie Stanley Chambers, and was born on August 11, 1961 in Romulus, MI. Her working career was varied having worked as a truck driver as well as a restaurant manager and several restaurants in the area. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. She was married to Robert Floyd Baker who preceded her in death.

Mary Jo gave her life to her children and grandchildren. After the untimely death of her son, Michael, she devoted her life to raising his daughters. They were her life and her everything until the day she passed away.

She is survived by her son: Christopher Bolton; granddaughters: Marilese Baker and Mikalynn Baker; brother: Edward Chambers; several nieces and nephews and many close friends including special friends: Juanita Keys, Lynn McKibben and Marvelena Pritchard. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son: Michael Baker and brother: Gary Chambers.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mary Jo will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Gary Wedgewood officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
