Mary Annette Edwards Sanders

Mrs. Mary Annette Edwards Sanders, 88, a resident of Washington Ave. in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Vanco Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Goodlettsville, TN. She was the wife of the late Clarence David Sanders of 64 years, who preceded her in death in May of 2005.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sanders will be conducted Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 10 am in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Delton Porter and Tommy Hagewood officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family visited with friends Monday from 2 to 8pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of late Rutherford Cathey and Laura Augusta Beard Edwards. After graduating with the class of 1935 at Hay Long High School, she completed post graduate studies under the leadership of the late Mildred Hunt Ribble. Mrs. Sanders served with the Maury County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and the American Rose Society. She was a member of the Locust St. and Marcella Falls churches of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Angeline Spurlock of Nashville, TN and Malinda Mirandy of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren Alex Mirandy, William Mirandy and Molly Mirandy, all of Marietta, GA, David Audra Spurlock of Goodlettsville and Philip Spurlock of Nashville. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Mitchell Bullock Edwards, Marvin Hayes Edwards and Manuel Delk Edwards, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Philip Spurlock, David Spurlock, Molly Mirandy, William Mirandy, Hendley Edwards III, Carter Bostick, Randy Sprouse and Tommy Hagewood.
She will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbors.
