Mary Ann Allen Brown

Mrs. Mary Ann Allen Brown, 77, a resident of the Shady Grove Community, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Signature Health Care in Columbia.
Born January 28, 1934 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Mary Jane Davis Allen and the wife of the late Herman Brown. Mrs. Brown retired from Hillview Nursing Home in the laundry department and had worked at the old Bel-Aire Nursing Home, which later became Life Care Center. She loved serving families at the nursing homes and in her later years, she would sit by the bedsides of many patients holding their hands. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Williamsport Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons: Danny McConnell of Mt. Pleasant and Todd Henson and his family of Florida; step-son Billy Brown and his family of Mt. Pleasant; very special friends: Lori and Kevin Lance of Duck River. She was preceded in death by a step-son: Freddie Brown.
Graveside services for Mrs. Brown will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 Am until service time at the cemetery.
