Mary Yeiser Crumley

August 19, 1918 — October 15, 2006

Mrs. Mary Yeiser Anderson Crumley, age 88, a resident of Tindell Lane in Columbia passed away on Sunday, October 15, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Brother Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends on Monday from 5:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The native was the daughter of late Albert and Rosa McClure Anderson and raised by her grandmother, Hattie Roberts McClure from age 3 after her mother passed away. She was married to James Odell Crumley on Sept 12, 1936 until his death in 1994. She was a housewife, homemaker, wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Crumley was well known for her cooking skills, love of animals and gardening. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Crumley Cross of Columbia; grandchildren, Patsy Gary Smotherman of Shelbyville, Wade Rose Cross, Beth David Abernathy both of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Justin Cross, Dant Lovett, Kayla Abernathy, Brady Abernathy and Drake Abernathy all of Columbia, Shelby Smotherman and Jonathan Smotherman of Shelbyville great-great-granddaughter, Alaina Lovett of Columbia; one brother, Paul Anderson of Lewisburg; and two half sisters, Frances Black and Betty Jo Clark both of Columbia. She was is also survived by her special lifelong friend of eighty years, Mary Frances Pillow. She was preceded in death by two half sisters, four half brothers.

Pallbearers will be Justin Cross, David Abernathy, Brady Abernathy, W.E. ?Bill? Abernathy, Gary Smotherman and Robert C. Hood.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. James Richardson, Dr. Mark Vinson and Dr. Ralph Kustoff.
