Mrs. Mary Virginia Crigger Dudley, 78, widow of Robert C. Dudley and a resident Columbia, died Thursday April 3, 2003 at Life Care Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dudley will be conducted Sunday, April 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Kevin White and Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late John Dee and Mary Jane Holder Crigger. She was retired from Black and Decker as a computer operator. She was former employee of Bat Factory and Pogue Supermarket in Tullahoma and TKM in Columbia. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.
She is survived by five sisters; Ethel Mai Crigger Cross of Burbank, California, Ellen Crigger A.J. Shepherd, Eunice Crigger Johnnie B. Oliver, Clara June Crigger, and Eva Hersheline Crigger all of Columbia; one brother, Gaston Dorothy Crigger of Mt. Pleasant; a brother-in-law, Parker Dudley of Winchester; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; John Howard Crigger, Royce J. Crigger, Nathan Dee Crigger, and Johnny Covey Crigger.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Clyde Farris, Richard Farris, Dwayne Hickman, and Boyd Wood.
Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Eastside Church of Christ.
