Mrs. Mary Blue, age 78, a resident of Woods Circle in Columbia, passed away on Sunday, May 13, at Columbia Care and Rehab Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Blue will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Carl Duck and Ed Haag officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 5:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Naomi Collier Tucker. She was the wife of the late John F. Blue, Jr. Mrs. Blue was a former sales clerk and activities director for Columbia Care and Rehab. She was a member of the West End Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter: Faye Katherine Blue Edward Haag of Smiths Station, Al; grandchildren: Jon Edward Haag of Columbia, Merry Elizabeth Blue of Chattanooga, Cathryn Elise Blue of Vicksburg, MS; brothers and sisters: Mac Tucker of Summertown, Josephine Tucker Psota of Summertown, Ernest Tucker of Summertown, Norma Tucker Burns of Summertown and Danise Tucker Fisher of Watertown; several nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Katherine Anne Tucker, Helen Tucker Vacha and Lois Tucker Holloway, one brother: F.J. ?Jimmy? Tucker and one son: John F. Blue, III.
Pallbearers will be Alan Psota, Micah Tucker, Phillip Burns, Jim Hammond, Pat Tucker and Donnie Story. Honorary pallbearers will be nurses and staff of Columbia Care and Rehab.
